This painting shows my Jack Russell Terrier keeping a close eye on a seagull who is sitting on the handle of the garden fork - in case he drops down to peck the seeds that have just been sewn on the allotment.

The terrace in the background is based on various buildings in Kirkcudbright, none of which sit alongside one another in real life.

Size: 86cm x 86cm (including the frame)

Medium: Acrylic and charcoal on gessoed board

Frame: Ivory painted wood with white slip
